The Chairman


Jeremy Hodge the Managing Director of Cherwell Packaging has been Chairman of Nationwide Hygiene Supplies Ltd since 2005. Jeremy took over from Ian Hall who guided the group through its prolific international development over a 3 year period which saw both the development of INPACS GmbH and the relationship with Network Services in the USA. Jeremy supersedes Ian as the Nationwide representative on the INPACS shareholder board.

Since assuming the Chairmanship Jeremy has overseen the implementation of a medium term stratgey plan, which sets outs the the market vision for Nationwide. This includes the development of strengthened relationships with key partners in order to widen the service offer and ensure that customers receive the best value in the market.

Jeremy Hodge brings a wealth of managerial and financial skills to the group. He has a BSc and a PhD and is a chartered Management Accountant. Perviously Jeremy worked with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) as a Financial Planning Director. In 1992 he joined the family business Cherwell Packagining and completed a management buy-out of the business in 1995.

The Chief Executive


David Scholes is Chief Executive of Nationwide Hygiene Supplies Ltd and Joint Managing Director of INPACS GmbH its Joint Venture operations in Europe. He responsible for developing and implementing the group’s business strategy as approved by the board on behalf of the Nationwide shareholder companies.

David joined Nationwide in February 2000 at the head office operations based near Hampton Court in London. Through the next seven years he oversaw the substantial growth in National account business during which time he was also appointed Joint Managing Director of INPACS GmbH in February 2004. INPACS at its formation in 2004 was and still remains the largest Janitorial distributor group in Europe.

In 2007 following sustained account growth David oversaw the Natide head office relocation to more substantial premises in Chesterfield, which now provide an appropriate platform for future growth and development.

David Scholes began his career with British Leyland as a financial analyst and spent over 4 years as Financial Controller and Finance Director at the Leyland operations in Zimbabwe and Malawi. After the breakup of Leyland group in 1987 David joined Polymark International Plc as Divisional Managing Director of their specialist labelling businesses where he was also responsible for overseas operations in the USA and Japan.

David was born in August 1952, and is a fellow of the Chartered institute of Management Accountants and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University.
